Is this invoice generator legal to use in Thailand?+

What VAT rate should I use on my invoices?+

Thailand's standard VAT rate is 7% (temporarily reduced from the statutory 10% since 1999 and repeatedly extended). Zero-rated: exports, international services. Some supplies exempt (small business below threshold, agricultural products, health, education).

Do I need to register for VAT before issuing invoices in Thailand?+

VAT registration is mandatory when annual turnover exceeds THB 1.8 million. Voluntary registration is allowed below threshold. Non-resident service providers to Thailand may have special rules under e-service tax.

What information must every invoice include in Thailand?+

Revenue Department tax invoice requires: "Tax Invoice" heading, supplier name/address/TIN, customer name/address/TIN, serial invoice number, date, description, quantity, value, VAT rate and amount, total.

Can I issue invoices in a currency other than THB?+

Yes. Thai businesses can invoice in any currency. For VAT reporting, amounts must be converted to THB using Bank of Thailand reference rate on the invoice date.

How long do I have to keep invoice records in Thailand?+

Thai law requires retention of tax invoices and accounting records for at least 5 years from the end of the accounting period. Electronic storage is permitted with integrity controls.
